New guide to gay life in Bournemouth published

Inside you'll find details of gay and gay friendly bars, clubs, hotels, shops and services plus social groups and support networks. It also has a neat fold out map showing all of the action in the Triangle and West Cliff area. The booklet is designed as a useful guide for tourists visiting the areas but also as a directory for the local gay community.

Editor, Tom Faull explains the need for the guide, "Despite the new anti-discrimination legislation in recent years, gay and lesbian people still face prejudice in many day to day situations. It may be as simple as the waiter giving a male couple a funny look or a same sex couple having trouble renting a property together. We are pleased to include forward thinking local companies who want to display the fact that they, and their staff, are welcoming to lesbian and gay people."

Free copies of the guide are available in all the Bournemouth gay venues, Clone Zone in the Triangle and the Fire Radio offices.
If you are planning a trip to Bournemouth and would like a copy in advance, you can also request a copy online at www.gaybournemouth.net
